I'm gonna start blogging more often because I always end up with a lot of stuff that I want to show you and then I get anxiety attacks cause I can't remember if I showed you everything I was planning to and then I have to go back and look through all my folders with jewelry pictures and because I'm not organized it gets very confusing. Whoa, that was a long sentence. *breathe* The photo above, even though a bit blurry, is one of my favorites. Why? Because it looks like a mess at first, but it's actually an organized mess if you look closely   and when you do, your eye discovers similar items close to each other just like in one of those fun hidden object games and starts pairing and categorizing everything until your mind concludes that the mystery mess is solved and organized . Hi guys, how have you been? All is good, I hope! :) I'm really excited about this new pair of earrings, let me tell you a little bit about it: these adorable fish charms are articulate, very moveable and flexible, made of 14K gold, hallmarked. Where did I get them from? My Antique Lady! I did some research on them and found out that they were made circa 1900-1920s ~ 100 years old!?! They have two intact Red Ruby Round Cut Gems set as the eyes in a four prong setting and their price is about...$99 a piece, wow! Here for $99 , here for $360, this one is bigger, not so many details though.   Here's a similar fish for $798 (!!) 9K gold from 1890! How do they come up with these prices, I wonder..? $798 for a 9k gold fish from 1890, my fish are from 1900-1920, about 10 to 30 years younger, that would make them worth...well, it's art, I guess you could price it anywhere. Supply and demand. Just give me $200 for them and we're good. Kidding. Or not. W...

 I have been preparing a rustic bead soup for my friend Solange from  YeeLen Spirit Designs  and it's finally ready! My ingredients:  ~ Rustic polymer art beads ~ Every bead is one of a kind, I rarely make them in pairs because I love experimenting. ~ Metal findings ~ A pair of metal elements from a vintage Native American belt, a vintage kuchi pendant, a set of fancy ear wires, hammered copper components, rhinestone spacers, religious art findings. ~ Yellow african glass beads, coral bead, two artisan ceramic beads from N. Carolina, that I've painted with alcohol inks. ~ More African glass beads, two small green trade beads, purple beans (!!), Lapis lazuli, long wooden  organic beads, african terracotta beads, vintage white and blue flowers ceramic beads, bone beads and some tribal bead caps.  That's the whole yumi bead soup, I really hope she'll like it.
