On the right way

This one sold yesterday, $10 including shipping. Because I only saw the sale today, a day late, I'm sending it express 2 day shipping. I want my customer to receive it by Friday, as he was supposed to, domestic shipping shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 days. The shipping was $6.50 + Etsy charges...I guess that leaves me with about 3 bucks.  I wanted to send him something extra so I have also included these two guys, plus some drilled Carnelian chips and a pair of doves carved from shells, to match.  All that is worth more than 3 bucks so I guess my business is experiencing negative profit right now. Heck, I'm such a good business woman!  But hey, I want my customers to be happy, to feel that they've got their money's worth and more . To open that package and feel like it's Christmas.   I want them to love it. Making jewelry is my passion. Bringing joy to others through my passion is my dream. Turning my passion into a profitable business i...

Shine

“Maybe we're just falling stars, we once danced in the same skyline looking down at the world.     And we've fallen like all others, from near and far, we've gathered together, but separated by time and space, keeping a part of that light that we've came with and spreading it in this dark world that we've chosen to live in, in order to shine some light and love around.   Maybe we've chosen to believe one truth today, and find it to be false tomorrow. Maybe we're trying to not get attached to the idea that we now know it all.     At night, we see the truth of where we've fallen from, gazing in that night sky full of distant stars, constellations, planets, the reflection of the Sun on the Moon, all with their own stories to tell.   Sometimes we wonder why would we leave such a mysterious place, with an infinite amount of stories and wonders.  Maybe it's because as stars we could've only seen each other's light from ...

☆ Manuscript Found in Accra ☆ words to live by ☆

I am going to think of this day as the first day of my life. I will look on the members of my family with surprise and amazement, glad to discover that they are by my side, silently sharing that much talked about but little understood thing called love. I will look at everything and everyone as if for the first time, especially the small things that I have grown used to, quite forgetting the magic surrounding them.  Instead of noting down things I’m unlikely to forget on the piece of parchment I always carry with me, I will write a poem. Even if I have never written one before and even if I never do so again, I will at least know that I once had the courage to put my feelings into words. Tonight..., I’m going to spend time sorting through the pile of things I never had the patience to put in order. And I will find that a little of my history is there. And even the things I am accustomed to—like the sandals which, after long us...
