The focals are recycled glass african beads, wire wrapped in oxidized steel and copper, adorned with fluorites, rumanite and rubies ~ real ones, from my awesome Mom. I've always loved amber and I was very happy when my wonderful Mom and my lovely Sis, who sent me a whole bunch of very old, awesome things from Romania, included the gorgeous amber chips that I have used in the ring and the pair of earrings below.  The Magic Tears of Ancient Forests And because I am always curious about everything, I decided to do a quick research on Romanian amber. Hand forged copper ring, natural patina... Romanian amber, or Rumanite, has an ancient history similar to that of Baltic Amber. It is known for its beautiful and varied colors, especially deep red and deep blue with green hues which are uncommon  natural colors for amber. As I'm sure you've heard, for the first time in history, for 2016 Pantone named two shades at their Annual Color of the Year announcement: Roze Quartz and Serenity. Shades of Pink and Blue say you? Say no more...I've got this! Rose Quartz and  lilac shells... Rustic polymer in shades of pink and blue...I handpainted them with acrylics and Jacquard pearls. Ceramic focal beads... Rose Quartz hearts... Pale pink and lilac Lucite beads... Iridescence magic.  The Pink stash... Light Blues...ceramics and a round lucite focal . Glazed ceramic focal beads... Serenity...Lucite and a nice aqua stone bead that you can't see well because it's all blurry, down right.  My own rustic polymer beads... And all this.... ...and all that. I am going to think of this day as the first day of my life. I will look on the members of my family with surprise and amazement, glad to discover that they are by my side, silently sharing that much talked about but little understood thing called love. I will look at everything and everyone as if for the first time, especially the small things that I have grown used to, quite forgetting the magic surrounding them.  Instead of noting down things I’m unlikely to forget on the piece of parchment I always carry with me, I will write a poem. Even if I have never written one before and even if I never do so again, I will at least know that I once had the courage to put my feelings into words. Tonight..., I’m going to spend time sorting through the pile of things I never had the patience to put in order. And I will find that a little of my history is there. I've got my hands on this little  Cross Stitch Treasure . I don't cross stitch but it was so pretty, I decided to buy it for my Etsy shop. Even if I'm not going to make a big profit out of it, I need more items for sale. I might open a supply shop soon. I have a ton of stuff that I have never used and I keep buying more ~ help, I'm turning into a hoarder! Anyways, here is a preview of the cross stitch treasure :)   All of them brand new!
