NEW STUFF!! Rustic Polymer

Image
I'm gonna start blogging more often because I always end up with a lot of stuff that I want to show you and then I get anxiety attacks cause I can't remember if I showed you everything I was planning to and then I have to go back and look through all my folders with jewelry pictures and because I'm not organized it gets very confusing. Whoa, that was a long sentence. *breathe* The photo above, even though a bit blurry, is one of my favorites. Why? Because it looks like a mess at first, but it's actually an organized mess if you look closely   and when you do, your eye discovers similar items close to each other just like in one of those fun hidden object games and starts pairing and categorizing everything until your mind concludes that the mystery mess is solved and organized . Now your eye can finally relax and enjoy all the artistic details because that's why you're here to see something pretty and not to listen to my ramblings, but dagnabbit, I should

Philanthropy Fashion  store in Saint Augustine. Loved it. “What can I say, I'm a sucker for abandoned stuff, misplaced stuff, forgotten stuff, any old stuff which despite the light of progress and all that, still vanishes every day like shadows at noon, goings unheralded, passings unmourned, well, you get the drift. As a counselor once told me -a counselor for Disaffected Yought, I might add:  " You like that crap because it reminds you of you. "  Couldn't of said it better or put it more bluntly. Don't even disagree with it either.” ―   Mark Z. Danielewski ,  House of Leaves   Right on. I bought the book just because of this one quote.  “I do not know anything about Art with a capital A. What I do know about is my art. Because it concerns me. I do not speak for others. So I do not speak for things which profess to speak for others. My art, however, speaks for me. It lights my way.” ―  Mark Z. Danielewski ,  House of Leaves

On the right way

This one sold yesterday, $10 including shipping. Because I only saw the sale today, a day late, I'm sending it express 2 day shipping. I want my customer to receive it by Friday, as he was supposed to, domestic shipping shouldn't take more than 2 or 3 days. The shipping was $6.50 + Etsy charges...I guess that leaves me with about 3 bucks.  I wanted to send him something extra so I have also included these two guys, plus some drilled Carnelian chips and a pair of doves carved from shells, to match.  All that is worth more than 3 bucks so I guess my business is experiencing negative profit right now. Heck, I'm such a good business woman!  But hey, I want my customers to be happy, to feel that they've got their money's worth and more . To open that package and feel like it's Christmas.   I want them to love it. Making jewelry is my passion. Bringing joy to others through my passion is my dream. Turning my passion into a profitable business i
